Seize the savings

When my children were young, I shopped till I dropped at the beginning of the school year. Standing in line over and over again to get the limited deals was my expertise. Notebook paper, pencils, tablets, and spirals were stacked not so neatly in my office. Yay! We were good to go.

As a teacher and parent, I needed as many specials as I good get. I even stored poster board and supplies for those crazy moments when I learned about projects late at night that were due the next day.

One crazy year I found my son loading up left over stacks of notebook paper (imagine the number of times I stood in line) to take to school. I was baffled because it was the last week in May. When confronted, he confessed that he had been borrowing paper all year and needed to pay back a few people. I guess I had been too busy to notice.

Get out there and get those deals! You'll be glad you did.
